Well done for special and joyful jazz festival
A HUGE thank you to Bob Rushton and all of the team at Derby Live for bringing us a very special Derby Folk Festival.
In this, the first year without Derbyshire’s own Mick Peat. It was wonderful to be back among friends, sharing live music and paying tribute in celebration of his life.
The Saturday afternoon “Concert for Mick” featuring The Derbyshire Volunteers and many of Mick’s friends from the folk scene, hosted by John Tams, was very moving.
Thank you to all of the volunteers, stewards, sound and lighting engineers and all involved.
The marquee stage was beautiful and the whole event was a joy. Well done Derby.
