Driver used cling film for back window
A CAR caught Derbyshire police’s attention on Thursday night with a less-than-legal back windscreen.
A thick spider web of cling film had replaced the usual safety glass found in road-safe vehicles.
On top of the unusual rear view window choice, the Honda in question then began driving through Chesterfield town centre in an erratic way, giving police another reason to pull the driver over.
A spokesperson for Derbyshire Road Policing Unit said: “If the cling film rear window wasn’t enough to give this Honda a pull, it then started bunny hopping around the Donut Roundabout then pulled into the car park”.
Police say the driver was intoxicated and was promptly arrested at the scene by the officers.
Once in custody, police said the driver was found to be well over the legal driving limit, and was charged when he was in a fit enough state.
