Large area of farmland to be auctioned

-

A LARGE piece of land in South Derbyshire is set to go up for auction this month.

The 14.33-acre site – the size of seven football pitches – is close to Staunton Harold Reservoir, near Melbourne, and is up for sale after a farm business tenancy over the land was surrendered last month.

It has a guide price at the auction of £165,000.

Estate agent Fisher German is marketing the site, which is described as arable land.

The land is accessed via Bog Lane, which leads off The Common, and is about three quarters of a mile from the south western edge of Melbourne.

There is also a right of way to access the land from the west off the driveway of the Derby Hills House development.

It comes in two enclosures but is available as a whole plot of land.

The property is to be sold by online auction to conclude at noon on Tuesday, October 26.
