Was Boris’ ‘plan’ to blame Brexit on us?

-

SO, the recent fuel fiasco, the ever worsening situation regarding the supply of food in our supermarkets and the costly but necessary slaughter of pigs is all part of our Prime Minister’s grand plan for “Getting Brexit Done” and improving the lot of everyone.

A pity this wasn’t revealed before the Brexit election in 2016 or the General Election in 2019, or things might have turned out slightly different.

As a consequence, the likes of Kwarsi Kwarteng and Grant Schapps have been wheeled out to reassure us that there is no crisis, (Boris only does good news).

But when that failed to convince, our Prime Minister made a timely appearance on our TV screens, just before the Tory Party Conference, to tell us that it is all our fault and that of business and has nothing to do with his Government nor, presumably, those which have presided over a decade and more of Tory-inflicted austerity.

His decision to offer 5,000 temporary visas to EU drivers, 27 taken up and counting, was even more laughable and hardly surprising, all things considered.

So much for Boris’s plan. In reality there is no plan.

Baldrick from Blackadder could have done better!
