Dudley Zoo and Castle: Encounter rare beasts
Meet 200 species of animal, and discover how Dudley’s conservation-first approach has won it awards. Endangered species here include Asiatic lions, Sumatran tigers and Bornean orang-utans, as well as the largest parentreared colony of
Humboldt penguins in the UK. After you’ve met the animals, explore the 11th-century motte and bailey castle, built by the French and later home to the Earls of Dudley. Now the castle and grounds are used for reenactments, events and bird of prey demonstrations.
