Price of going electric ‘too high’

-

THE cost of going green is holding Brits back from being more environmentally friendly, a poll shows.

Consumer watchdog Which? found four in 10 are put off buying an electric car due to the price tag and concerns over how long the charge would last.

Only four in 10 motorists said they were thinking of buying an electric car at the moment.

More than one in three felt more energy efficient appliances are too dear. And almost eight in 10 felt there were obstacles to being greener.

A survey of

3,600 adults found almost half believe the Government must do more to help families lead more sustainable lifestyles.

Which?’s Rocio Concha said: “It’s vital consumers are at the heart of Government’s net zero strategy.”
