Drivers given penalty points for speeding

THE following motorists had their licences endorsed with penalty points by Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court.

■■Mahboob Ahmad, 53, of Pear Tree Road, Pear Tree, was fined £82 and given three penalty points for speeding at 37mph in a 30mph limit in Abbey Street, Derby, on January 22.

■■Thomas Allen, 31, of Randolph Road, Derby, was fined £220 and given three penalty points for speeding at 40mph in a 30mph limit in Deep Dale Lane, Derby, on February 22.

■■Ronni Barker, 53, of Station Road, Derby, was fined £244 and given three penalty points for speeding at 57mph in a 50mph limit in Brian Clough Way, Derby, on February 5.

■■Jacqueline Bishop, 56, of Birchwood Lane, South Normanton, was fined £100 and given three penalty points for speeding at 36mph in a 30mph limit in Nottingham Road, Ripley, on February 9.

■■Nathan Cox, 22, of Breedon Street, Long Eaton, was fined £83 and given three penalty points for speeding at 36mph in a 30mph limit in Derby Road, Long Eaton, on February 22.

■■Richard Fletcher, 60, of Matlock Road, Brackenfield, was fined £220 and given three penalty points for speeding at 39mph in a 30mph limit in Station Road, Bolsover, on February 15.

■■Cameron Fox, 53, of Holloway Road, Duffield, was fined £110 and given three penalty points for speeding at 60mph in a 50mph limit in Brian Clough Way, Derby, on February 5.

■■Lindsey Funnell, 42, of Silverburn Drive, Derby, was fined £269 and given three penalty points for speeding at 57mph in a 50mph limit in Brian Clough Way, Derby, on February 13.

■■Aaron Gallagher, 39, of Kensal Rise, Derby, was fined £292 and given four penalty points for speeding at 43mph in a 30mph limit in Duffield Road, Derby, on February 20.

■■Craig Goodwin, 34, of Devonshire Drive, Stapleford, was fined £484 and given six penalty points for speeding at 80mph in a 50mph limit on the M1 near Breaston, on June 7.

■■Stewart Gray, 34, of The Waterway, Sandiacre, was fined £280 and given four penalty points for speeding at 66mph in a 50mph limit in Painters Lane, Ednaston, on February 21.

■■Oliver Hassall, 30, of Poplar Gardens, Burton, was fined £300 and given four penalty points for speeding at 41mph in a 30mph limit in Burton Road, Midway, on January 18.
