Leaders in clear as Tom hits two

With closest rivals Allenton United having a break from action, the result sees unbeaten Sunnyhill extend their lead to seven points.

Another side with an unbeaten record are thirdplace­d Mayfield, 4-1 winners at home against Cromford & Wirksworth Town Reserves courtesy of goals from Scott Lyon, Mason Smith, Paul Williams and Ryan Pickering.

Billi Holland, Perry Russell, Owen Biddle and Reagan Oakley were on target as Shirebrook Rangers hit four without reply at home against Rowsley 86 Reserves, while it was honours evening in the remaining Premier Division fixture as Little Eaton and Ashbourne Reserves played out a 2-2 draw.

Melbourne Dynamo Reserves came from two goals down to spoil Division One leaders Newhall United’s 100% record.

Callum Riddell and Kyle Clamp gave Newhall an early lead but Jacob Dussroth and Charles Tovell struck for hosts Dynamo to level the score.

Second-placed Mickleover Athletic kept their 100% record intact, winning 4-1 at Willington thanks to Jamie Laird (2), Callum Horton and Kieran Oliver.

Little Eaton Reserves celebrated their first win of the campaign, beating Sherwin 4-0 courtesy of goals from Michael Bestwick, Samuel Hartshorne, Paul Quinonez and Jody Burton. Hilton Harriers Reserves replace them at the foot of the table after a 3-0 defeat at Glapwell U21s.

The mid-table encounters between Acorn Albion and Bargate Rovers, and between Burton United and Wirksworth Ivanhoe Reserves, both ended all square, finishing 1-1 and 2-2 respective­ly.
