City hosts hunt for UK’s best burger

BURGER devotees are in for a treat this weekend with the chance to eat some of the juiciest and most delicious in the country.

Meat eaters, vegetarian­s and vegans will be able to tuck into burgers from award-winning vendors at Derby’s Bustler Market, which is hosting a competitio­n celebratin­g the best in the UK.

The street food venue’s Patty Party will take place at the Chocolate Factory, in John Street, starting tonight from 5pm and running through to Sunday. Guest judges will be in attendance to taste and crown the UK’s best burger. The public will also be able to vote for their favourite.

As well as some top quality tucker there will be games and live DJs providing the entertainm­ent throughout the weekend.

Eating competitio­ns will see who can eat the most pickles in a minute, plus a race to see who can finish eight double cheeseburg­ers the quickest. Applicatio­ns to take part can be emailed to georgia@bustlermar­ket. co.uk
