Oozing with Hollywood glamour and feminist empowerment, this biographical documentary charts the life, career and persona of Jackie Collins.

It takes in everything, from her childhood – namely growing up with her movie star big sister Joan Collins, who is interviewed here, through to reinventing herself into a literary icon. Jackie, who died from breast cancer in 2015 aged 77, was on the outside a bold, big-haired success story. But the film reveals that Jackie always hid her true identity behind her powerful public persona.

The documentary weaves in excerpts from Jackie’s teenage diaries revealing insights into sibling rivalry, insecurities, lovers and celebrity encounters.
