Which side of society are you on?

-

ETHELRED believes in a religion which claims if you live for the benefit of the majority, you will have eternal rewards.

Mildred believes this is the only life, so you should grab everything you can for yourself now.

If Mildred is right, then Ethelred has had less material benefit than he could have had, but was fundamentally content with his choices.

If Ethelred is right, then Mildred had a great time during her brief few moments in this life, but the majority of her existence is not looking so great for her.

If the billionaires who make millions out of our compliance are right, then they have enabled us to live a severely restricted life. If those who oppose tyranny are right, and win, then life for those who did to oppose will still be fine, but the life of those who did oppose will also be fine.

Do you think only the super-rich (and yourself) should have wealth, pleasure and comfort or do you think that it is okay for people, whose opinions do not wholly conform to those of the government, be permitted to exist?

Opposing those who inflict suffering will result in you suffering and may, or may not, alleviate the suffering of others and yourself. Failing to oppose will result in increased suffering for others and, perhaps, for yourself.

When the final account balance is calculated do you want to be on the side of credit to society as a whole or debit to society as a whole?

It is time to stand up and be counted. So, are you on the side of the super-rich or the rest of us?
