First look at new burger restaurant
THE first pictures from inside a new handmade burger restaurant have been revealed. The new Ranch Gourmet Burger restaurant is due to open in Ripley next week.
Owned by Metin Mersin, who has 23 years of culinary experience, the restaurant in Oxford Street, Ripley, will be serving handmade burgers from homemade recipes from opening on May 9.
Metin hopes the burgers, all designed by him, will keep bringing customers back.
He said: “It’s a burger restaurant making my own burgers, they’re all homemade burgers basically, made from fresh ingredients. All of the recipes are my own and it’s all been created by me.
“I looked at the area and saw there weren’t many places where people can sit down and eat. Restaurantwise there isn’t a lot nearby and it’s always been my passion.
“I’ve worked in the industry for the past 23 years, I used to own a chip shop in Gedling, Nottingham, for seven years. Before that I was in Reading and working in the trade.”
The opening hours of the new restaurant are expected to be between 11am and 9pm every day of the week, with the new venue creating five or six new jobs for locals.
Burgers are priced between £5 and £8, with a range of sides also on offer.
Also on the menu is a halloumi burger, grilled chicken burger and an onion ring burger. Customers can order milkshakes, hot drinks and side dishes.
Metin added: “I want to achieve my dream basically and with my previous restaurant I was with partners, but I want to achieve my personal successes. I want to be serving fresh food and keep people happy with my food.”
