Drivers found speeding along A52

DERBY City Council announced that from February 2020, speed cameras would monitor the A52 Brian Clough Way in Derby and that it would enforce a 50mph limit between Raynesway and Pentagon.

Despite this, motorists are still driving at above that limit and their cases are coming before the courts. The following are the latest to be heard.

■■Stephen Everett, 48, of Elnor Street, Heanor, was fined £100 and banned from driving for six months due to repeat speeding, at 60mph on September 7, 2021.

■■Judd Brady, 37, of Belper Road, Derby, was fined £40 and banned from driving for six months due to repeat speeding, at 63mph on January 22, 2021.

■■Narinderpa­l Singh Kang, 38, of Corden Avenue, Derby, was fined £230 and banned from driving for six months due to repeat speeding, at 76mph on April 23, 2021.

■■Ashley Wragg, 45, of Brooke Street, Heage, was fined £40 and given three points for speeding on February 25, 2021.

■■Michael Sheehan, 47, of Church Street, Littleover, was fined £54 and given three points for speeding at 61mph on August 26, 2021.

■■Elaine Shipman, 61, of Homestead, Heanor, was fined £50 and given three points for speeding at 61mph on September 18, 2021.

■■Baljinder Sidhu, 31, of Sunnyhill Avenue, Derby, was fined £146 and given three points for speeding at 65mph on August 24, 2021.

■■Mark Bailey, 52, of Gibfield Lane, Hulland Ward, was fined £40 and given three points for speeding at 58mph on June 30, 2021.

■■Kevin Bradley, 30, of Quorn Road, Nottingham, was fined £166 and given three points for speeding at 57mph on July 9, 2021.
