Husband and wife John and Hilda, clients of Radfield Home Care Derby, Ashbourne and South Derbyshire, received a special surprise when, through a live video stream, owner and director Sam Adie organised for a local band to play their favourite song Delilah to themfrom the comfort of their own living room.

Ninety-nine and 96 years young respectively, Hilda and John have been at Radfield since March 2020 and staff soon discovered their love of listening to music.

Sam said: ‘They are such a wonderful couple. The days are long for them during the lockdown as they’re not seeing their loved ones. My husband Jon, co-director of Radfield, has played in a local band known as MuckTudge (pictured) for years and it was their suggestion that they would play live to them, independently from their own living rooms.’

After, John said, ‘They’re good! They should go for the Eurovision Song Contest next year!’, ‘I think they are wonderful, absolutely wonderful’ added Hilda.
