LOOKING FOR A MASSEY FERGUSON MF390

have been trying for a long time to find a Massey Ferguson MF 390, or MF390T, without success, as production of the 1/32 scale model I’ve been looking for finished in 2010. It was made by Universal Hobbies. Will a new model be produced this year? I’m a small collector of aircraft and car models, and only recently became interested in tractors, as my son-in-law is a part-time small farmer. I bought him his first six tractors (Massey only), one for each decade from the 1940s. His actual real tractor is a 390, hence my particular interest in that model. I’ve just been beaten for one on an ebay auction. It had an original run of 1,000/1,500 pieces in 2010. Scarce as hens teeth and relatively expensive. FelixMcCann,email

IED I've passed this query onto our farming expert, David Pullen. He replies "Have not heard anything about Universal Hobbies re-issuing its MF 390 tractor. Covid has made it more difficult to know. Currently UH appears to be only announcing its new models once it knows they are available. Suggest ringing around the farm model dealers or local Massey Ferguson dealerships. Someone might just still have one in stock." I'll keep an eye out for one too, Felix, and will get back to you if I hear of a new release, or find one online.

ED Good spot, sir! It's always been a favourite of my Dinkys – I had one of the Dinky No 1043 kits. In fact, I'm sure I still have it somewhere – I must dig that out of storage. But even during many years of ownership, I've never spotted the wheel mystery – thank you for sharing!
