FIRST LIVE ONLINE AUCTION TAKES PLACE AT WARWICK AND WARWICK

-

JUST as we went to press for the last issue, Warwick and Warwick was holding its latest Diecast, Model Soldiers and Toys Auction sale, on 21st July. With continuing Covid-19 measures in place for the safety of its customers and staff, this sale was a closed-door affair, with no room bidders allowed.

For the first time in Warwick and Warwick history, however, the auction was broadcast live online via Easy Live. The auction had some great lots and some even greater bids, with customers bidding via Easy Live and also with the usual commission and telephone bids.

In the diecast section, there were several examples of both Corgi Toys and Dinky Toys that were of particular interest. The selection of individually sold Corgi Toys that were of particular note were No 302 Hillman Hunter with Kangaroo that achieved £110, No 24 Commer Constructor Set (£110) and Gift Set No 33 Fordson "Power Major" Tractor with Beast Carrier and Animals (£75).

Turning to the individual Dinky Toys listings, several that were of particular interest were a No 103 Captain Scarlet Spectrum Patrol Car that fetched £220, No 104 Captain Scarlet Spectrum Pursuit Vehicle (£180), No 105 Captain Scarlet Maximum Security Vehicle (£110), No 301 Field Marshall Tractor (£140), No 501 Foden Diesel 8-Wheel Wagon (£180) and No 118 Tow Away Glider Set (also £180).

The next diecast auction at Warwick and Warwick will be held on Wednesday 15th September. The full catalogue is now on the company’s website, and keep an eye on its Twitter and Facebook pages for updates and the latest auction news.
