Digital Photograper - - Techniques -

1 CROP AS REQUIRED

Perfect your image composition using the Crop tool. While this can be used to set file dimensions, this method is less precise, so set the aspect ratio but do not specify exact sizes.

3 SET NEW DIMENSIONS

Ensure the resample image box is checked and enter the new pixel values in the fields under Pixel Dimensions. this is the best strategy when exact values are demanded.

2 SELECT METHOD

From the dropdown select the Bicubic smoother option to help maintain overall quality. this controls the way in which pixels are added. try experimenting with Bicubic sharper, too.

4 SHARPEN

slight pixelation can occur depending on the excessiveness of the upscaling. use unsharp Mask set to a medium amount and low radius to recover definition in visible edges within the frame.
