SCOPE OUT THE COMPETITION check out how overcrowded the new genre is. Luckily for me, no one was really touching water sports. I’m one of about five people around the world that do both weddings and water sports.

TRY IT OUT FIRST practise the genre you are moving into and test it to see if there is money there first, unless of course you are doing it for the love of it.

CONSIDER SEO Don’t underestimate the power of Search engine optimisation. google will penalise you for changing tack. having two websites is also tough and your second will never be as high up as your more established site.

MANAGE SEPARATE SOCIAL MEDIA PAGES Set up new social media accounts rather than mixing styles. Most people don’t understand when I say I shoot two genres. Most people will only like one of the two that you shoot.
