STICK WITH COLOUR
Not all subjects and situations suit black and white – here are some examples
SUNRISE AND SUNSET
it’s the stunning colours – reds, oranges, pinks, purples – that make a sunrise or sunset memorable. Remove that colour and you destroy the mood completely.
SENSE OF PLACE
if your goal is to record how a place really looks then you need to include colour in order to do so effectively. Black and white just doesn’t cut it.
THE NATURAL WORLD
You do see the occasional great nature shot in black and white, but 99 times out of 100, colour is the primary choice because the natural world relies on colour.
