DJI OSMO POCKET ANNOUNCED
DJI introduces a new stabilised camera that fits in your pocket
In addition to its popular range of drones, DJI offers a collection of stabilised video cameras under the Osmo brand. The latest is the Osmo Pocket (£329/$349), which combines a three-axis stabiliser with a camera that has a 12MP 1/2.3-inch sensor and a one-inch LCD touchscreen. Video can be recorded in 4K (3,840 x 2,160) or Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) at up to 60p.
The integrated touchscreen is Live View enabled and can be used to swipe through the shooting modes, movie clips and creative features. In addition, the Pocket can integrate with a mobile phone running the new DJI Mimo app.
DJI has given the Osmo Pocket some of the clever automatic modes seen on the latest drones, including ActiveTrack to simplify following moving subjects, FaceTrack, Timelapse, Motionlapse and
FPV (First-Person View) mode.
A rechargeable LiPo battery is built into the Pocket, giving 140 mins use for every charge. Charge time is 73 mins.
