Most mid-range cameras allow the user to change the shutter speed, aperture and isO step adjustment sizes. commonly there is an option for these to be altered in ‘notches’ of 1/2 stop, 1/3 stop or full stops. The latter allows quicker scrolling through the full setting ranges, but lacks precision. choose 1/3 stop when you need to make exposure micro-adjustments, or pick 1/2 stop as a compromise between the two.
