WHAT CAMERA, LENS AND SETTINGS DID YOU USE TO CAPTURE THIS STUNNING SHOT?

HOW DID YOU DECIDE ON THE IMAGE’S COMPOSITION?

On that day I went to shoot on Canary Wharf, but couldn’t get the shots I was after because of the large number of new building sites and cranes everywhere. As I know this area well and found this viewing spot some time before, I headed straight there. The rest of the composition was created later [with a] 2:1 crop.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT THE IMAGE?

I like the overall image, especially how the 02 and the building next to it are lit.

DID YOU DO MUCH POST-PROCESSING?

I converted the colour image into three black and white versions (neutral, underexposed and overexposed) and then combined them. I used curves and masks to enhance shadows and highlights.
