BENRO ANNOUNCES WILD RANGE
Four new tripod kits introduced
Benro has announced a new ‘Wild’ series of tripods aimed at wildlife photographers. Based on the excellent Mach3 tripods, there are two sizes available with the smallest folding down to 59.5cm and extending to 154cm with the centre column in action. The largest has a maximum height of 165cm and collapses to 62.5cm. Both sizes are available in either aluminium or carbon fibre and all four can bear a maximum load of 4kg.
The relatively compact collapsed size is achieved by using four leg sections. These are extended via Benro’s twist leg locks which only require a quarter to unlock and lock and can be dismantled quickly for cleaning.
Each tripod is supplied with a Benro BWH4 two-way pan and tilt head, which features a new Arca-Swiss compatible quick-release system that allows the centre of gravity to be shifted when spotting scopes are used.
At £150/$149, the Benro Wild 1 Aluminium Birding Kit is the most affordable of the range, while the £340/$349 Wild 2 Carbon Fibre Birding Kit is the most expensive.
