CONSIDER CROP FACTORS
Get to grips with the relationship between sensor size options and equivalent focal lengths
The size of the sensor in your camera body affects the apparent magnification of the image projected by the lens. A smaller sensor, such as the Micro 4/3 or APs-c format, records a smaller portion of the image circle, creating a more cropped frame. This is not ideal for wide-angle photography, as the field of view is reduced. To achieve the same perspective provided by a 28mm lens on a full-frame body, a 17 or 18mm optic must be used on an APs-c camera or a 14mm on a Micro 4/3 body. if shooting medium format, the effective focal length is wider than that stated on the lens. For example, a 35mm lens on a hasselblad X system camera will provide a roughly 28mm view.
