The winners of our latest contest with Photocrowd have been revealed

IN OUR MOST RECENT COMPETITION IN ASSOCIATION WITH PHOTOCROWD WE CHALLENGED YOU TO SUBMIT YOUR BEST IMAGES OF ARTISTIC NUDES, AND AFTER SIFTING THROUGH OVER 550 IMPRESSIVE PHOTOS, THE WINNERS HAVE BEEN SELECTED. BOTH CROWD-VOTED AND EXPERT WINNERS WILL WIN A LICENCE TO AFFINITY PHOTO PROFESSIONAL EDITING SOFTWARE. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF THE WINNERS – AS USUAL THE STANDARD OF SUBMITTED IMAGES WAS VERY HIGH.

OUR COMMENT: The rim lighting effect here is hugely effective, but this has also been coupled with a creative reflection, making this a tasteful and elegant evocation of the female form that works perfectly in black and white.

OUR COMMENT: This is a very creatively directed pose, with incredibly well-controlled lighting and a very gentle, desaturated colour palette. beautifully done, in all respects.

PHOTOGRAPHER: hannah Jacobs OUR COMMENT: it’s easy to forget to include a wider environment and produce a more expansive composition when photographing nudes, but it can produce excellent results, as this elegant image ably demonstrates.
