FUJIFILM HOUSE OF PHOTOGRAPHY OPEN
Three-floor photo hub opens its doors in London
Fujifilm is hoping to marry all aspects of the art of photography with its House of Photography store, which opened its doors on 3 December in the vibrant Covent Garden district of London.
Across three floors, the hub gives visitors the chance to explore Fujifilm kit, take photos and bring their creations to life through a print store. It will also encourage image sharing – both physically and digitally – and will reward customers with competitions and creative exposure.
The focus of FUJIFILM’s House of Photography isn’t sales and profit, however, but as a centre of creativity and photographic excellence. The entire first floor features a gallery space, launching with an exhibition of David Bowie photography by photographer Markus Klinko. On the basement level, a lounge space provides a social setting for pros and
Fujifilm enthusiasts.
“As a world‑first for Fujifilm, we are looking forward to providing a space for creative collaboration that completely subverts the traditional approach to how consumers expect a photography store to look and feel,” says Theo Georghiades, FUJIFILM House of Photography’s project leader.
