With practice using Photoshop, Corel Painter or other digital painting software to hand-paint individual brush strokes, you will take your images to a new level of creativity. There are default brushes in each of the programs, but you can maximise the creative process by using customised or specialised brushes. There are soft, hard, detail and texture brushes. Learning to adjust their settings and discovering what the tools can do will expedite and improve your painting. For the best results, build up layers of digital paint and blend them by using blend modes and by adjusting the opacity of layers.
