TALKING POINT…
REAR SCREEN
Despite the difficulty and benefits of using titanium in its construction, the biggest talking point of the X-Pro3 is Fujifilm’s decision to hide the main screen and put a 1.28-inch colour memory LCD on the back panel. This can show the selected film simulation mode and a few key settings, and it’s visible whether the camera is on or off. However, it’s not touch-sensitive or interactive. This seems like a wasted opportunity – it would be nice to be able to adjust a few aspects, such as the film simulation mode, white balance and shooting mode (stills or video) from that screen, ideally with a tap and a swipe, or a tap and the use of a dial. As it is, if you want to see the quick or main menu, you have to use the electronic viewfinder or fold down the back panel to see the main screen.
