The backup plus hub is formatted for windows. however, mac users will be able to get going in a few minutes with the supplied software, as the drive is ntfs ready. since the backup plus hub is designed with the more generalist user in mind (with a price that reflects this), the drive features the slowest transfer speeds of all four models here, at a modest 160mb/s – so not ideal if you’re going to be dealing with plenty of large files.
