As guest editor of issue 250, I decided to use this unique opportunity to invite some of the incredible people who have helped shape my career to share their experience, knowledge and learnings.

First up is an interview with Doug Menuez, who I met in San Francisco in 1994 when he was shooting beautiful reportage work with Steve Jobs (p114). Doug was the reason I decided to become a pro; find out about his incredible career and how he stays relevant on p76.

Photographic agent Mark George has represented luminaries, such as Richard Avedon, Terence Donovan and Sir Don McCullin, and has been my manager for 20 years. On p66, Mark shares his rare insight into how to edit your work and the importance of finding a unique tone of voice.

Digital Photographer’s regular editor, Lauren Scott, joined me on my first big post-Covid portrait shoot with legendary dancer Carlos Acosta CBE for the Birmingham Royal Ballet. As a Canon Ambassador, I hosted last year’s UK Photography Show for Canon UK and met the talented artist and photographer Claire Luxton. On p48, Claire shares her contemporary creative process with you, in a totally inspiring tutorial.
