Education at its best

-

Education is an important pillar for society in Germany and the high education standards make it one of the world’s best locations for schooling at many different levels – such as with boarding schools, for example. We take a look at why choosing a boarding school might be the best option for your child.

It is a well-known fact that Germany is multicultural, open to the world and a very good place to study. That’s why the country also sports a wide selection of boarding schools that cater for various needs. What they all have in common is that they offer high-quality education and prepare students for a bright future.

Why choose a boarding school?

Well, first of all let’s get something straight: boarding has undergone a make-over in recent years and long gone are the days when families sent their children off on the first day of term and wouldn’t see them until the last. Today, most modern boarding schools therefore offer a range of residential options to choose from, including full-, weekly- or flexi-boarding, which is good for an ever-moving, increasingly international population.

Speaking of international – many boarding schools offer international curricula and have a very international focus on other languages, as well as an international student body which fosters ‘international mindedness’. Other advantages of boarding schools include the fact that boarding students usually tend to become quite self-reliant, independent and comfortable in themselves quite quickly – character traits that will be important throughout their entire lives. And, of course, the actual education is of really high quality, with excellent teaching on hand. For the students, boarding can also be great fun for them, as they can make lifelong friends, are able to develop great social skills and can spend lots of time fostering their hobbies and talents with the great amenities boarding schools tend to offer.
