Dear Reader,

- Nane Steinhoff, Editor

According to the meteorological calendar, spring starts on 1 March. So, with this issue, we say hello to spring and goodbye to the long, grey and cold winter. To celebrate the first bloom of flowers around us and to welcome the first warm rays of sun shining on our faces, we have put together some inspiring spring topics.

For instance, we take a look at the top ten garden highlights of 2020. After all, nothing says springtime more than those first glimpses of flower buds and the much-anticipated, colourful displays in our gardens and parks. We celebrate the arrival of all this horticulture with a special feature where we present the top ten garden highlights across the DACH region. Our writer Marilena Stracke also takes a look at a great selection of fabulous destinations with which to wave winter goodbye. Lakes, forests and mountains: when spring is here, most of us crave spending time surrounded by beautiful nature. Across the DACH region, there are a number of inspiring locations to explore so that you will return home with a ‘spring’ in your step.

Other topics covered in our March issue are interviews with the actress Annika Ernst, as well as the band MIA., who are back with their new album. Furthermore, we put special emphasis on the annual Engadin Skimarathon, top spa destinations, things to do and see in Hamburg, great architects, culinary highlights from Switzerland and much, much more.

Sit back, relax and thanks for reading.
