DR. SCHIER’S Ltd., located above Lake Lucerne, produces 100 per cent pure blossom and forest honey without industrial processing, but with precise designation of origin. This organically certified honey comes pure and as special editions with saffron or lemon.

For millennia, people have enjoyed and benefited from the taste and nutrients of honey. DR. SCHIER’S stands for natural honey, harvested and processed with minimalist and traditional techniques – a precious gift from nature.

Even the glasses and gift-wrappings are unique. The patented round glass, for example, is shaped in a way that makes it possible to scrape out even the last bit of honey with a spoon. “Another glass is adorned with a paper cutting designed by a local artist,”says Irene Schier, who runs the business together with her husband Prof Dr Felix Schier.

Dr Felix Schier’s love for honey is rooted in a family tradition: his grandfather was a beekeeper, who ate a large spoon of honey every day and always shared some with his grandson. Dr Felix Schier was a pediatric surgeon, and when he bought honey while travelling, he could not find any information about producer or land of origin. This led him to fulfilling his dream of producing a pure and genuine honey – just like his grandfather did.
