Modern design meets 250 years of porcelain tradition
The newly opened KMP Hotel & Residences has a unique location: the hotel adjoins the historic Royal Porcelain Factory in Berlin, short KPM, and lies only a few minutes’ walk from the Tiergarten. The renowned architects, Axthelm Rolvien, were responsible for the architecture and interior design.
“For more than 250 years, the name KPM has been a synonym for outstanding design and the highest quality. The KPM Hotel & Residences directly connects to this,”says hotel director Tobias Berghäuser. The hotel combines the KPM tradition with outstanding hospitality: fine flair, urban-modern interior, first-class service and comfort. Porcelain artworks in the 117 rooms, 59 apartments and the Asian restaurant, Dong A, assist in creating a unique atmosphere.
The rooms have a very flexible use, and this also holds true for the conference rooms. The playroom and the community kitchen, meanwhile, create a very relaxed atmosphere. As a modern boutique hotel, there is also room for very individual requirements.
The hotel team strives for perfection around the clock and also offers the service of booking exclusive porcelain manufactory tours.“To gain such immediate information about the secrets of the ‘white gold’ and the painting of porcelain is a great experience, ”says Berghäuser. In the DIY-manufactory, guests can then create their own pieces as great souvenirs.
