Hospitality for over a hundred years:

From manor house to the only five-star hotel of the Sauerland region

The Romantic and Wellness Hotel Deimann has as much tradition as it has charm. Here, historical buildings meet modern, down-to-earth luxury. Led by the Deimann family’s third and fourth generation, many things have changed over the decades. But the genuine sense for heartfelt hospitality combined with top quality in all categories has always remained.

The Romantic and Wellness Hotel Deimann nestles in the lush scenery of the Hunau and Rothaar Mountains. It is the only five-star hotel in this region and managed by Andreas Deimann of the fourth generation.

The great-grandchild of the founder speaks about the challenges that come with running and further developing such a traditional family hotel: “On the one hand, such a long tradition carries a big responsibility. The business needs to be managed carefully, sustainably and in a futureorientated way, so it can be continued by the next generation. On the other hand, of course we are quite proud of the hotel’s ongoing success across generations.”

Top quality and professionalism take centre stage. The marvellous hotel grounds include 96 rooms (with various suites and junior suites) in a modern design, a library and a stunning spa area measuring 4,000 square metres. Three in- and outdoor pools and a great range of saunas offer the perfect space to relax. From the steam sauna, Finnish sauna, infra-red sauna, Aroma bath, Tecaldarium and organic Sauna to the salt works, hammam and rasul bath, as well as two naturopathy practices and 22 treatment rooms – Hotel Deimann fulfils all its guests’ wishes.

For those looking for a culinary adventure, Hotel Deimann has got you covered, too. The gourmet restaurant Hofstube is led by head chef Felix Weber. It was awarded one Michelin star and received 16 points as well as two toques from Gault & Millau in autumn 2019 – the third time in a row. Weber’s purist dishes are prepared directly in front of the guests, too, thanks to the open kitchen: resulting in a true adventure for all the senses. Another highlight is the marvellous breakfast buffet, where everyone will find the perfect dish for them to start the day right.

The hotel also convinces with its location. It’s a great base for various trips in the region. The generously sized park, with two ponds, leads to numerous hiking trails, and from cycling, golfing, lovely walks or visits to the historical centre of Schmallenberg – there is plenty to do all year round.

A perfect place at which to fully let go and unwind.
