Head to this seaside town for some truly extraordinary festive frolics
Weymouth fires up its festive spirit on 1 December with Weymouth’s Christmas Present (with a hint of Christmas past) which is happening all around town from 10am – 8pm, including an ‘aww’ inducing Nativity Parade. There’s even a Weymouth Christmas Present poem about what is happening throughout the day... ‘Twas the 1st of December and all through the streets
Excited shoppers and lots of treats....
The town festooned with brand new lights
And a giant snow globe - what a delight!
Music throughout from the square to the church
To join in the merriment you won’t need to search!
The storytellers tent - a magical place
And then visit Santa with his jolly face Parades at the start and the end of the day
As well as an ‘elf hunt’ - will he get away?!
There’ll be ‘carollers corner’ where the snow falls
And even ‘bah humbug’ at one of the stalls!
A warm welcome from shops filled with gifts galore
And all day free parking - too good to ignore!
So on the 1st of December be there to see
Weymouth’s own Christmas ... like it used to be
