Meet Judge Santa: Christmas Cracker 13 December: Christmas in the Courtroom
There’s a lot going on in the lead up to Chrstmas at this newly opened historic venue on High Street West.
Father Christmas will be holding court in the Shire Hall courtroom on night (4 – 8pm, 6 December), and then every Saturday (11am1pm & 2- 4pm) until 23 December. Every youngster will receive a special Christmas Gift and Santa has promised that none of them will get ‘sent down’! Join cellist Sally Flann and violinist Russell Dawson at 1pm for a lunchtime of well-known Christmas favourites with some delightful musical surprises. Join the New Hardy Players for a feast of traditional seasonal entertainment of local and well-known Christmas carols, midwinter poetry from Thomas Hardy and William Barnes, dramatic scenes from the Mayor of Casterbridge and Under the Greenwood Tree; and a Christmas Mummers play. Directed by Tim Laycock. Starts 7.30pm Enjoy festive tune and carols with this team of handbell ringers in the Shire Hall Café from 3pm.
