Renowned as a cre­ative hub where artists and de­sign­ers live and work, Boscombe’s Christ­mas Tree will be dec­o­rated with lo­cally de­signed gift boxes. Its lights are switched on by a lo­cal hero at 4pm on 17 Novem­ber. Boscombe is also cel­e­brat­ing its Bo­hemian com­mu­nity from Poland, Es­to­nia, Latvia and Hun­gary, demon­strat­ing hand­i­crafts, ar­ti­san­ship, artistry and crafts­man­ship as well as tra­di­tional food such as the Es­to­nian Christ­mas Crown. So ex­pect to see lots of in­ter­na­tional fes­tive tra­di­tions around this part of Bournemouth in the lead up to Christ­mas. The an­nual Christ­mas Pa­rade on 1 De­cem­ber com­mences at 9.45am at Boscombe Pier, and at 10am Santa ar­rives by sleigh at the Sov­er­eign Shop­ping Cen­tre.
