CLI­MATE CHANGE LEC­TURES

A se­ries of fort­nightly lec­tures on the im­pact of Cli­mate Change at both a global and lo­cal level starts in Brid­port this month. Speak­ers in­clude bi­ol­o­gists, cli­ma­tol­o­gists and writ­ers of in­ter­na­tional stand­ing who will cover top­ics rang­ing from coastal ero­sion and but­ter­fly con­ser­va­tion, to the preser­va­tion of trop­i­cal rain for­est and the im­por­tance of Cit­i­zen Science projects.

The first lec­ture, on 15 April, is The Bi­o­log­i­cal Ev­i­dence for Cli­mate Change by Sir Ghil­lean Prance, a world author­ity on the Ama­zon.

The talk starts at 7.30pm, at the United Re­form Church, East Street, Brid­port.
