Getting in festive spirit

A crafty Christmas was enjoyed by young visitors to Dumfries and Annan museums over the weekend.

Staff and volunteers got into the festive spirit with glue, sticky-backed plastic amd recycled materials.

They encouraged children to try making their own cards, decorations and presents for Christmas.

From December 8 to January 12, Dumfries Museum will be holding free drop-in sessions for young people aged from five (must be accompanied by an adult) from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm Tuesdays to Saturdays.

The sessions are inspired by the winter season and the museum’s exhibitions.

Among the activities will be making chilly snow scene pictures; bird masks; design a doll or dude outfit; gallery trails, colouring and quiz sheets.
