Earlier date for Electric Fields festival
Electric Fields is to return for a sixth year but with an earlier date of July in 2019.
It will be held from July 4 to 6 in the grounds of Drumlanrig Castle and country estate near Thornhill.
Organisers say that although Electric Fields celebrated its landmark fifth birthday this summer with a capacity crowd of 7,000, the festival will return to the regular capacity of 5000.
And they expect tickets will be in even higher demand. They are now available for purchase via the Electric Fields website, including Adult Early Bird Tickets starting at £110 for the whole three days.
Over the years Electric Fields has played host to some huge artists, as well as showcasing some of the most exciting up and coming and critically acclaimed acts around.
These include Noel Gallagher, Frightened Rabbit, Primal Scream, Dizzee Rascal, The Charlatans, Leftfield, Arab Strap, James, Young Fathers, Teenage Fanclub, Band of Horses, Public Service Broadcasting, Idlewild, Kate Tempest, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Steve Mason, The Twilight Sad, Ezra Furman, Idles, King Creosote, Ghostpoet, The Coral, Honeyblood, Songhoy Blues and Fatherson.
