Teenager suf­fers leg­break

A teenager suf­fered a bro­ken leg after be­ing knocked down by a car in Lochmaben’s Queen Street on Mon­day.

The 15-year-old was struck by a Honda CRV be­ing driven by a 53-year-old woman from the town around 8.45pm.

The boy was taken to Dum­fries In­fir­mary by am­bu­lance for treat­ment.

Ear­lier in the day, a three-ve­hi­cle crash hap­pened on the A709 at the junc­tion with the C91A Dal­ton road at Locker­bie.

Around 2.50pm, a Nis­san X Trail, a Honda CRV and a Sca­nia lorry were in­volved in the col­li­sion.

The male driver and a fe­male pas­sen­ger in the Honda were taken to Dum­fries In­fir­mary by am­bu­lance to be checked over.
