Thornhill and District’s St Andrew’s anniversary dinner at the Buccleuch Hotel in Thornhill on Friday, November 30, was very well attended.
After an excellent meal, Morag Murray said grace then president Colin Gibson introduced David Baird who proposed the toast to St Andrew and Scotland which was well received.
Willie Prentice played a selection of tunes on the small pipes followed by Les Byers who recited and also invited the guests to join in singing some favourite songs. Colin Gibson sang and accompanied himself on guitar.
The vote of thanks was given by Ian Millar and the evening ended with everyone joining in to sing Auld Lang Syne.
