AdorableKatie leads the way
Baby Katie Alex Boyd with big sister Lucy, mum Kirsty and dad Alan Little Katie Alex Boyd was one of the first babies born in Dumfries and Galloway on New Year’s Day.
She arrived into the world at the town’s infirmary at 7.55am to proud parents Alan and Kirsty Boyd, from Lockerbie, and weighed 8lbs 11oz.
Mum Kirsty, 30, said: “We arrived at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary at the back of 4am and she was born at five to eight.
“So, it was quite a quick birth thank goodness.
“It’s lovely for her to be one of the first babies born in the new year and we are delighted. Everything was fine and now I am glad to be home.”
Baby Katie is the couple’s second child and sister to three-year-old Lucy.
Proud dad Alan said: “It’s great news and now we have two wee girls.
“We have lots of visitors coming to see her and everyone is so pleased.
“She has been good to us with sleep so far, but we are just relearning old parent skills at the moment.
“I work as a network infrastructure analyst at the University of the West of Scotland and work all over the Crichton campus.”
Kirsty said: “I work as a seamstress in the embroidery factory Rostrum Sportswear and I am hoping to go back to work.”
