Craig Johnston was felled in the penalty area, allowing Moore to step up and equalise with his fourth goal of the season, and second in as many matches.

“It was a great strike from the boy Garrity to be fair. I know he’s got that in his locker, but sometimes you need to just hold your hands up, and then we show great character to come in one each at halftime,” Tidser told Press Sport.

“I thought for the last 2025 minutes of the first half we were really dominant, but I did comment at halftime and I said, look, no silly fouls.

“We give away a foul but we know they go long ball a lot, and try and hit Tommy Goss, who’s very good at what he does, and they get their goal from that.

“Then you’re climbing a mountain again, but, again, we saw the reaction from the lads and the determination to never give in.

“We created four or five right good chances from our perspective. I think we had 17 corners, so that probably paints its own picture, in terms of how dominant we were without being really ruthless in the final third.

“It’s probably the Achilles heel for us this season, not taking the chances we create, but I can’t be too critical with the way we’re playing.

“It’s a tough league, I’ve said it all season, but for me, overall, you take a point and you move on.

“I think you can probably see from when do score, at both our goals, the boys are running to grab the ball.

“I reckon if there’s an extra 5-10 minutes, we probably go on to win the game because we were that dominant in the way we were playing.

“A point on the road, sometimes you’ve just got to grit your teeth and get on with it because it might be a valuable point come the end of the season.”

FOOTBALL ace Caroline Weir has been further recognised for her efforts on the field by being named as the recipient of a prestigious Spanish football accolade.

The gifted 28-year-old, a former pupil at Pittencrieff Primary and Dunfermline High schools, was named as the Liga F Player of the Season for 2022/23, presented by the Spanish Footballers’ Association (AFE), on Monday evening.

Scotland star Caroline secured a dream move to Real Madrid last summer and, during her first season wearing the world-famous white shirt, the midfielder found the net 19 times in the league, including the first hat-trick of her senior career, in a 6-1 rout of Valencia.

Her fine form helped Real finish second - and secure qualification for the Champions League behind Barcelona, and her fellow players have recognised her influence by picking her as the league’s star player.

Whilst unable to attend the awards as she recovers from an ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) injury sustained whilst playing for her country during a UEFA Women’s Nations League match with Belgium at Hampden, Caroline said in a video recorded message: “Thank you very much for this award.

“It means a lot, because it’s voted by other players.

Sorry I can’t be there tonight unfortunately, I have an injury

- but I hope you all have a great night.”

The award is the latest in a string of personal accolades won by Caroline, who has won 102 caps and scored 17 times for Scotland, throughout her career.

Earlier this year, she was named as the Scottish Football Writers’ Association’s Women’s International Player of the Year, and she has also been nominated for the International Player of the Year prize at the ScottishPower Scottish Women’s Football Annual Awards, which take place on November 25.
