-

THE owner of a Dunfermlinebased business has taken home two accolades at the Digital Women Awards.

Heather Pownall, Marketing and Media consultant at Heather’s Media Hub, was awarded Product Creator of the Year and Digital Freelancer of the Year for her work providing digital marketing services at the London ceremony on November 7.

Heather, who has over 20 years of experience in the publishing and media industry, said: “I set up on my own five years ago and this is the first time I have entered any awards.

“There were so many incredible finalists, all women create amazing products, services and opportunities in the digital space, so to be named a winner in two categories and have my work recognised is a huge honour and one I really appreciate.”

The Digital Women Awards is an annual event that celebrates women who are doing incredible work in digital and business from their own community and beyond.

The awards are open to any and all women working in digital industries and entrepreneurship, and entrants go through a rigorous judging process by their esteemed panel.

Lucy Hall, the community Lead and founder of Digital Women said: “We are really excited to celebrate once again all of the incredible women going over and above and doing truly amazing things in the digital space.

“This is a significant time to celebrate businesswomen, entrepreneurs and all people in digital industries, and I’m so glad we get to recognise all of these fantastic achievements from our community and beyond at the Digital Women Awards 2023.”

Heather added: “Lucy and the Digital Women team do so much to support, guide, empower and teach their community. I wish we could give them an award right back!”
