Brand new restau­rant for Oaksmere Ho­tel

The Oaksmere Ho­tel near Diss on the Suf­folk/Nor­folk border is due to fully re-open its doors later this sum­mer with a brand new restau­rant, pri­vate din­ing rooms, and a new mar­quee for wed­dings, cor­po­rate events and par­ties

The Oaksmere aims to be one of the re­gion’s finest des­ti­na­tion venues, known for ex­cel­lent food, lux­u­ri­ous ho­tel stays, pic­ture-per­fect wed­dings, be­spoke events and its friendly pub. The grade II listed Tu­dor and Vic­to­rian build­ing has 10 deluxe bed­rooms and four suites, which have been de­signed with an em­pha­sis on re­lax­ation and qual­ity. The main restau­rant is be­ing ex­tended out to the ter­race to pro­vide 100 cov­ers. It will have mod­ern drop-down light­ing, and a con­tem­po­rary ur­ban feel, with brick, brushed steel, cop­per, and pearl oak floor­ing. Head chef Nick Clax­tonWebb, for­merly of Cong­ham Hall, Nor­folk, will be pro­duc­ing some of the best mod­ern Bri­tish food us­ing the finest in­gre­di­ents East Anglia has to of­fer. The kitchen houses a Bri­tish-made Bertha char­coal oven, while The Oaksmere also has its own on­site butch­ery and kitchen gar­den. All the beef is from lo­cal sup­pli­ers, one of which is from War­ren Hills Farm that ad­joins The Oaksmere’s park­land. Pork is from the But­ler fam­ily’s Blyth­burgh Free Range Pork.
