A FESTIVAL THAT PUMPS!
This year’s Aldeburgh Festival (June 8 – 24) celebrates Britten and America, and reflects 1948, the period in post-war British history when the festival began, and when so much of what we now regard to be the backbone of our cultural life was launched.
In a new festival offer, £10 tickets are available for every performance and the line-up of concerts, exhibitions, talks, films, walks and events means there is something for everyone. At The Pumphouse in Aldeburgh the alternative Aldeburgh Festival hosts 31 shows over three weekends – music from folk to jazz, world to experimental, plus comedy, cabaret, talks, and theatre. There will be food and drink served by the fully licensed Frank’s Bar.
