Art trail raises MyWiSH funds
Eighteen pieces of artwork, produced by 12 artists and groups, and dotted around Bury St Edmunds have been created for a unique First World War trail, designed to be a major attraction over the coming months, and raise funds for West Suffolk Hospital MyWiSH Charity’s Every Heart Matters appeal, which has a target of £500,000 to help create a cardiac unit. The trail will depict items and images of the 1914-18 conflict, from a tank to a Zeppelin and peace bells to a Victoria Cross. It runs until Armistice Day on November 11. Right, for the launch Trudi Edmunds made a bicycle sculpture, depicting the Suffolk Cycling Battalion to which her great great uncle belonged.
