FOOD WASTE ON FILM
On the Sunday morning the festival shows its serious side with a screening of Wasted! The Story of Food Waste, the critically acclaimed documentary with chef Anthony Bourdain, who died earlier this year. “Anthony was very supportive of the festival, and had been going to shoot us a video intro to the documentary,” says Neil McGlone. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with a representative of East of England Co-op, who are working hard to tackle waste, Kat Gosling, co-founder of Ipswich-based The Teapot Project, which redistributes edible supermarket food destined for landfill to those who need it, and others working to reduce food waste.
