On the Sun­day morn­ing the fes­ti­val shows its se­ri­ous side with a screen­ing of Wasted! The Story of Food Waste, the crit­i­cally ac­claimed doc­u­men­tary with chef An­thony Bour­dain, who died ear­lier this year. “An­thony was very sup­port­ive of the fes­ti­val, and had been go­ing to shoot us a video in­tro to the doc­u­men­tary,” says Neil McGlone. The screen­ing will be fol­lowed by a panel dis­cus­sion with a rep­re­sen­ta­tive of East of Eng­land Co-op, who are work­ing hard to tackle waste, Kat Gosling, co-founder of Ip­swich-based The Teapot Project, which re­dis­tributes edi­ble su­per­mar­ket food des­tined for land­fill to those who need it, and oth­ers work­ing to re­duce food waste.
